At MAD-Aid we are committed to enhancing the quality of healthcare services and ensuring the well-being of patients in hospitals.

Delivering Medical AID

Every year, hundreds of tons of medical equipment are needlessly discarded, replaced, and thrown away. At MAD-Aid, we recognize the value of these items in less fortunate parts of the world, where medical resources are scarce. Over the past 11 years, we have recycled and reused thousands of tons of good medical furniture and equipment, making a significant contribution to reducing waste and promoting sustainability. Our efforts help to address the urgent need for accessible medical resources worldwide, while also reducing the environmental impact of unnecessary waste.

At MAD-Aid, we specialize in optimizing the combination of new, donated, ex-demonstration, and pre-owned equipment to improve the conditions of Moldovan hospitals.

In the heart of Moldova, many hospitals struggle with extremely limited resources. Without external help, they can’t afford even the most basic medical equipment. This is where MAD-Aid steps in, making a world of difference.

Imagine a Moldovan hospital where the equipment is outdated and barely functional. The doctors and nurses work tirelessly, but their efforts are often hampered by the lack of proper tools. This is a reality for every hospital, clinic in Moldova.

MAD-Aid recognized this critical need and took action. We started by collecting medical equipment that British hospitals no longer needed. Instead of letting these valuable resources gather dust or be disposed of, we saw an opportunity for them to have a new life in Moldova.

Each piece of equipment we gather tells a story. A hospital bed that once served patients in Isle of Wigh now brings comfort to a Moldovan patient. An ultrasound machine that once helped diagnose conditions in the UK now aids doctors in rural Moldova.

This initiative creates a beautiful win-win scenario. UK hospitals save on storage and disposal costs, while Moldovan hospitals receive the essential equipment they desperately need. Through this effort, we not only support the healthcare system in Moldova but also build a bridge of compassion and cooperation between our two countries.

Full renovation of Hospitals

In Moldova, hospitals suffer from resource shortages and poor conditions, lack of 30+ years of investment of any sorts.

Understanding the urgent needs of these, MAD-Aid has launched a comprehensive renovation program aimed at bringing significant change to the delivery of medical services and the quality of life for residents in these areas.

Through this program, MAD-Aid is dedicated to systematically transforming hospital wards into modern healthcare units, one by one. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and adequate infrastructure, these renovated wards are poised to significantly enhance medical services in Moldova. The project’s inception came with the stark realization of the poor condition of the only in entire country of a newborn surgery ward situated in the main children’s hospital of Moldova.

The MAD-Aid team brings together construction experts and dedicated volunteers to commence renovation works. From repairing structures and upgrading equipment to improving sanitation conditions and installing water and electricity supply systems, every aspect is approached with care and professionalism.

The end result is a transformative hospital that provides superior medical services and serves as a vital healthcare hub for the entire community. Hospital renovation not only enhances access to essential healthcare but also supports the local economy and promotes sustainable development in rural areas of Moldova.

Join us in this mission to make a real difference in the lives of people in Moldova. Every contribution and every support brings these communities closer to a healthier and more prosperous future.
