Our Response During the War in Ukraine – Swift, Comprehensive, and Compassionate

At MAD-Aid, our response to the war in Ukraine was immediate and profound. From the very first day after the conflict began, we opened our doors at the Phoenix Complex in Moldova to host refugees, providing them with a safe haven during these turbulent times.

Key Highlights of Our Efforts:

  • • Rapid Deployment of Aid: Within just 8 days, we dispatched our first truck loaded with emergency aid, followed by an additional 33 shipments, ensuring continuous support to those in need. Aid was delivered in Ukraine and for refugees in Moldova.
  • • Refurbishing Refugee Centers: We took swift action to refurbish refugee centers, creating safe and comfortable environments for displaced families.
  • • Summer Camps and Education: Recognizing the importance of normalcy for children, we organized summer camps and provided educational programs for young refugees, helping them to continue their learning and enjoy their childhood despite the circumstances.
  • • Support to other NGOs: We provided much needed support for other NGOs who looked after Ukranian displaced people. Bough 7 vehicles for them in order to deliver food and bring people from borders into shelter.

Our dedication to swift and comprehensive action demonstrates our commitment to supporting those impacted by the war in Ukraine. At MAD-Aid, we stand ready to provide compassionate and effective assistance in times of crisis.

MAD-Aid’s Response During COVID-19: Supporting Moldova Hospitals and Beyond
During the COVID-19 pandemic, understanding the dire conditions in Moldovan hospitals, MAD-Aid, in collaboration with volunteers Ana Racu and Anatol Untură, launched a campaign to support medical teams on the front lines. Our swift actions and dedicated efforts resulted in raising over 200,000 euros in a very short period of time.

Other

For many years MAD-Aid alongside its main mission, programs and projects created partnerships with other organisation for the benefit of people in need.

One of such example is – CWUHA Humanitarian convoys that reached Moldova; partnership with DentAID installing dental equipment in school, medical centres and prisons; with Child Aid lobbying for Occupational Therapy to be on government agenda and the Universities to start producing specialists.
